How to Resolve the Error Code E1?

The error code E1 corresponds to a communication error between your Senville unit’s indoor unit and outdoor unit.

First, check whether or not the wires are connected properly. If there’s no problem with the wires, check your AC’s circuit board. With the help of a digital multimeter, check the voltage frequency. Setting the device on direct current, verify voltage fluctuation between terminals L2-S. You can pick up a digital multimeter on Amazon.

The voltage should alternately fluctuate between -50 VC and +50 VDC. In case voltage fluctuates only with negative and positive readings, you can safely conclude that the outdoor board is faulty. You should replace it with a new motherboard. In case you don’t see any fluctuation, you can safely conclude that the indoor board is faulty. You should replace it with a new motherboard.

How to Resolve the Error Code E2?

The error code E2 indicates abnormal voltage fluctuation. This can happen when the wire size is wrong or the breaker is not of the right size. You can also get this error in the case of a faulty circuit board.

To fix the issue, first test your Senville unit’s indoor board and outdoor board. With the help of a digital multi-meter, check its voltage frequency. Setting your device on the direct current, verify how voltage fluctuates between terminals L2-S.

How to Resolve the Error Code E3?

The error code E3 corresponds to the malfunction of indoor motor speed. You can get this error when the indoor board is faulty or when the indoor fan motor is bad.

To resolve the error, first ensure there’s no blockage in an indoor fan or outdoor fan. If there’s no blockage, you should test both your unit’s circuit board and fan motor.

To test the unit’s circuit board, refer to the steps in the above two error codes. If there’s no problem with your unit’s circuit board, check its fan motor.

Here’s how you can do it:

  • Release UVW connector
  • Next, check the resistance of V-W, U-W, and U-V. In case they don’t have the same resistance, you can safely conclude that there’s some problem with your unit’s fan motor. You will need to replace it.

How to Resolve the Error Code E7?

The error code E7 corresponds to the malfunction of the outdoor fan motor speed. You can get this error when the indoor board is faulty or when the outdoor fan motor is bad.

To resolve the error, first ensure there’s no blockage in your unit’s outdoor fan. If there’s no blockage, you should test your unit’s indoor circuit board and outdoor board. To test the unit’s circuit board, refer to the steps in the first two error codes.

If there’s no problem with your unit’s circuit board, check your unit’s fan motor.

Here’s how you can do it:

  • Release UVW connector
  • Next, check the resistance of V-W, U-W, and U-V. In case they don’t have the same resistance, you can safely conclude that there’s some problem with your unit’s fan motor. You will need to replace it.

How to Resolve the Error Code EC?

The error code EC indicates that either the R410A refrigerant is low or the pressure is not accurate.

You should contact an HVAC technician and get the pressure checked. If there’s no problem with the pressure, it means the refrigerant is low. You must get it refilled.

How to Troubleshoot the Senville Mini-Split Unit Is Not Starting Issue?

If your mini-split unit doesn’t start or operate, first try to find out the underlying issue. That’s because this problem can occur due to different reasons. The troubleshooting steps you need to perform depend on the underlying cause.

This problem can occur due to any of the following reasons:

The remote control is not sending the signal – If you are standing a long way off from the unit’s control panel, the latter may not be able to catch signals. Come closer and press the “power” button.

Remote control batteries are dead or installed incorrectly – If the remote control batteries are dead or not properly installed, you will get this issue. Take out the AC remote batteries and try them with a remote of another device, such as your TV. If they aren’t working, replace them. If the batteries work fine with another device, make sure they are properly installed. If the error still persists, try the next solution.
